Piedmont, Italy

The Podere Ruggeri Corsini Barolo 'Bussia' 2020 is a top-tier Barolo from the Bussia cru in Monforte d'Alba, known for its expressive fruit (cherries, plums, berries), floral notes, and complex spices (chocolate, nuts), offering a structured yet refined palate with fine tannins and vibrant acidity, promising great aging potential. Crafted by Loredana Addari & Nicola Argamante, this Nebbiolo wine showcases classic Piedmontese terroir with modern, eco-friendly techniques and is considered a flagship bottling from their family estate, balancing traditional power with finesse.

Nicola Argamante was born in Tuscany, grew up in Piemonte, and was a well respected consulting winemaker there for years before he and his wife, Loredana, founded their own winery. Over 30 acres of vines, they make around 7,000 cases per year that are both classically terroir-anchored and very delicious to drink. This is their 450 case per year top wine from the excellent Bussia Cru, done in 225 and 500l French oak. It’s a dramatic Barolo, bold and full of dark fruit, spice, violets and rose petal and a firm grip that makes your mouth water, not dry out. It will get better for 15-20 years
