The wine is fresh with a delicate aroma that reminds of passionfruit, lychee and papaya. A full and round body turns into a smooth and elegant finish. This Scheurebe is grown in the finest vineyards of Weingut Pfeffingen's picturesque estate in the Mittelhaardt section of the Pfalz region. The soil is dominated by limestone. Fish dishes, seafood, Asian food (sweet-sour or spicy), asparagus, curries, risotto, cheeses.

Located in the picturesque Palatinate region, Weingut Pfeffingen is nestled between Bad Dürkheim and Ungstein along the renowned German Wine Route. This family-owned estate, managed by the Eymael family, is celebrated for its fruity Riesling and refined Burgundy wines, as well as a selection of intense red, sparkling, and dessert wines. The Eymael family's commitment to preserving their winemaking heritage has resulted in a unique and memorable wine experience.
 
Over Two Centuries of Winemaking Tradition
The Eymael family has called this estate home since 1622, when the current mansion was granted by the emperor. For nearly 400 years, generations of the Eymael family have cultivated the land and nurtured their winemaking traditions. The family acquired Weingut Pfeffingen on April 21, 1931. In 1952, Karl Fuhrmann took over the winery from his father-in-law, expanding the family legacy alongside his wife, Helena. Today, their grandson Jan manages the winery, continuing the family’s dedication to quality winemaking.
 
Innovative Practices Meet Historic Vineyards
Weingut Pfeffingen spans approximately 17 hectares of vineyards throughout the Palatinate wine region. The estate cultivates a diverse range of grape varieties, including Riesling, Scheurebe, Weißburgunder, and Spätburgunder. Jan Eymael has also introduced Roter Riesling, Chardonnay, Merlot, Silvaner, and Gewürztraminer to the vineyard. This blend of traditional practices and modern techniques allows the winery to produce exceptional wines that reflect both the family’s rich history and Jan’s unique vision.
