SOUTHERN RHONE VALLEY, FRANCE

Marsanne, Viognier, Roussanne

Domaine de la Mavette - Rhône - Gigondas - Sablet (France)
Located at the foot of the famous "Dentelles de Montmirail," they have access to the most privileged vineyards in the region. They benefit from their high altitude, which creates large temperature fluctuations between day and night. Furthermore, they are protected from extreme weather conditions, and the mineral qualities of the soil give the wines a unique character. For three generations, the Lambert family has been producing exceptional wines here that perfectly reflect the status of the appellation. Deeply rooted tradition and innovation go hand in hand here, resulting in wines that embody the richness of Provence's aromas. Lush, complex notes combine with finesse and display an extraordinary balance. The total vineyard covers just over 25 hectares. They also have some vineyards in Sablet.

Aromas of Anjou pear skin, licorice, white floral blossoms, clover honey. Flavors of Granny Smith apples, juicy pear nectar, honey, herbs, cassia, licorice. Savory, delicious, full-bodied with great acidity. A perfect "food wine" for heartier summertime fair demanding a full-throttle, unoaked white wine. Best served at 54F (not its true self when freezing cold, let the texture shine by serving at proper cellar temp or slightely cooler)

Domaine de la Mavette is located in the Provence region, one of France’s most iconic wine regions. The estate is committed to organic and sustainable viticulture, meaning the wines are produced without artificial chemicals or pesticides. HIt is run by a familiy that has been practicing winemaking for generations. Their passion for the land and for wine production is clearly reflected in the quality of their wines.
