It is a sweet, generous, very fine fortified red wine, which goes well with chocolate-based desserts.
Fermentation takes place in the presence of the skins with punching down and pumping over until the colour, then wine spirit is added in order to block the fermentation and maintain a residual sugar. Finally, it ages for 30 months in 10 hl French oak barrels.
