BEAUJOLAIS, FRANCE

Grape: 100% Gamay
Farming: The grapes are organically grown.
Tasting Notes (2022 Vintage):
Nose: Fresh and lifted, with fragrant tones of red cherries, fresh red berries, herbs, spice notes, and rose petals, with a mineral (crushed rocks) quality.
Palate: Medium-bodied, vibrant, and fresh, with crisp acidity and silky tannins. It exhibits elegant, red-fruited freshness.
Ageing potential: The 2022 vintage is noted as fresh and energetic, perfectly drinkable now, but capable of aging a few years to smooth out its edges and develop more complex notes of iris, spice, and ripe fruit.

The domain's short story
Originally from Alsace, lovers, oenologists, we travelled to France, California, New Zealand, before falling under the spell of the Beaujolais region. We had the chance to make our project a reality in 2011 by becoming the owners of a human-sized estate, on three different terroirs: Chénas and its granitic sands, Moulin à Vent and its alluvial soils, Juliénas and its schists. To be able to live today from our passion is our great pride!

The winemaker's pride
We settled in Beaujolais, in Chénas, in 2011. We are passionate about Gamay and the richness of the region's terroirs. Today, we produce 3 Crus: Chénas, Juliénas and Moulin à Vent as well as Rosés on 5.50 hectares. Our estate is on a human scale. All the work from the vine, in the cellar, to the bottling is done by us. We work on a hillside vineyard, planted with very high density and requiring a lot of manual care. We respect our terroirs and their characteristics to create wines with strong personalities.
