BORDEAUX, FRANCE

The estate, located at Néac, a commune adjacent to Pomerol, carries the Lalande de Pomerol appellation and covers 12 hectares (29.6 acres) on a clay-gravel plateau containing a hardpan subsoil. The grape composition is 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.

Easy, seductive, plummy ripe Merlot to smell; well-balanced, full, fresh, moderately tannic wine; warm, ripe, plump, gently fleshy, nicely defined by its light tannin grip, modest in scope, with good light length. This will be very attractive relatively early. 2025–35+.

  • Jeff Leve (Wine Cellar Insider): 93 points. Highlights vibrant red fruits, licorice, silky textures, and a "beautiful sense of purity".
  • vvWine.ch: 94 points. Notes an expressive, floral, and red-fruity nose, mentioning herbs and a creamy finish.

Georgina Hindle (Decanter): Notes it is ripe, concentrated, and fleshy, with a "salty and cola grip".
